V8-CHALLENGE VICTORIES TO FINLAND

The second race weekend of the Swedish V8-Challenge was dominated by Finns as Keijo Hållfast won both races of the event in his Chevrolet Camaro. Also Jokke Kalliola made it well in a Corvette being 6th in the first race and 4th in second.

SWEDES GET THEIR OWN V8-CLASS

Next season there will start a new V8 Challenge in Sweden, inspired by the Finnish HRF Roadsport V8-class. It is run by SLC and the rules follow our Roadsport V8 ones and can be found in the following address: http://www.slc.se/reglindx.htm

Preliminarily the race dates for the season 2001 are as follows: 21.4. Karlskoga's Gelleråsen, 5.5. Kinnekulle Ring, 16.6. Mantorp Park, 18.8. Ring Knutstorp, 22.9. Kinnekulle Ring ja 20.10. Mantorp Park.


KEIMOLA CIRCUIT TO GP LEGENDS

There is a project going on to model the legendary Finnish race track Keimola from the 60's and 70's for Grand Prix Legends racing simulator. More of it can be found here: http://www.pp.htv.fi/jkaskia/keimola/

HRF AUTUMN MEETING AND 10-YEARS CELEBRATION

The autumn meeting and 10-years celebration was held 18.11.2000 at the Restaurant Kadetti in Helsinki.

Prizes of the HRF Koni Cup 2000 were also given in the event. In addition to the well succeed competitors, there were also some officials awarded. Jukke Selenius received the "Pit Lane Crew member of the year" -award and Reijo Halonen was given the "Reindeer of the Year" -award. The latter one is given annually to the member who has actively made the club activities to go forward, i.e. "dragged the sledge".

The "Points Ace" -award of the year was received by Anssi Koski, who dominated the van Diemen class over the season. He won six races of the seven possible in thsi very even class.
