Historic cars started their season at the Ahvenisto circuit as a guest class of the Sport 2000 Tour, where Historic cars had two races. The following photos are from the rainy Sunday's race.

Jari Salmi in his Historic C-class Ford Cortina followed by Eero Virtanen in a car of the same make but of the younger period G.

Juha Liukkonen entertained the spectators with his impressing driving style in his Ford Falcon Sprint. He missed the qualification due to technical problems, but still he won his class on Saturday and even the overall race on Sunday.

There was also tough racing within smaller classes. Newcomer Pekka Rinne drove a Fiat Abarth No. 88 of the younger period G and next to him is Risto Hoikka, who won the Historic D-class race on sunday, in Fiat Abarth as well. Behind them follows Jari Tabell, who won the Historic D-class race on Saturday, in his Triumph Spitfire.

Real 'Grand Old Man' Upi Pihlman (racing experience from 5 decades) leads the pack in his newly finished BMW 2002Ti which has a genuine racing history from its period G. As a result he gainend class wins on both days for this beauty.

Lars Bondesson had arrived from Sweden to race his Lotus Elan No. 32. He had a really tight race with Upi Pihlman on Saturday's dry conditions but Sunday's rainy conditions decreased his speed remarkably. In the middle of the picture is Erkki Yrjola in Historic A-class Porsche 911 followed by Clas Palmberg in Historic C-class Lotus Elan.
